MOAB

MOAB, MOAB, MOAB!!!!! I thought I would post a few pictures of our quick trip to Moab. Our friend Jimmy Hjorth was a little crazy when he decided to run the Moab 1/2 Marathon. Good on him, but CRAZY! So he invited us, Darwin and Kiara to go with him and his fiance Becca. He pulled a trailer behind him, and we left Friday evening and camped in Moab.

At 10, Jimmy started his crazy run. While he ran, we did a little sight-seeing in Arches. We raced to the finish line to see Jimmy run to the finish line. It was awesome! Then poor Jimmy, with blistered feet and all, came to hike Delicate Arch. On top of that, Darwin was VERY sick and hiked it too! So it could have been a lot worse, but it was great! I love this hike, especially when it's NOT hot!

All of us at the top!!! A little windy, but BEAUTIFUL!!

This turned out so stinkin' cute! I'm glad she doesn't mind hiking!

Taking a quick break on the HUGE rock you have to climb up! I really want to go down to Moab again to do more of the many things Moab has to offer besides Arches!

Being BRAVE!!

For birthdays Darwin, Kiara, and us decided instead of trying to buy useless gifts for each other we would just take the other couple out for dinner. Since I just had my birthday, and Jared's is coming up we went out. Jared and Darwin LOVE sea food so we decided to go to Red Lobster. They do have Chicken on the menu!!! Me trying to like sea food decided to go a little more adventurous and get CRAB LEGS. My mom's side of the family eat them like they are candy! So I decided to be brave and order NO chicken. Kiara ordered chicken and she offered to share if I couldn't eat them. I ordered crab legs, and shrimp. Comes to find out they aren't that bad. It took me a little while to get past the fact that I was pulling the legs off the body and eating them. YUCK! I definitely wouldn't put them on the top of my list of favorites, but I ate them all! Yeah for me! I think that I like shrimp and crab legs about the same! Anyways, I just had to blog about my experience with crab legs!
