Starting Her Young

We may not be going to the "Y", but Jared and I do love to go to their sporting events. Some friends of ours have basketball season tickets, and couldn't go. They called us and asked us if we wanted to go. Of course we said yes, but couldn't find a babysitter so we decided to try taking R to the game with us. We figured if worst comes to worst we could always leave before the game was over since they were free tickets! So we are starting R off young at becoming a BYU fan.
Who would have thought that a one year old would like to sit and watch the game. She did VERY well. The opening where the lights were off and they were using loud music and spotlights to introduce the Cougars kind of scared her, but it didn't last too long so she was fine.
She didn't understand exactly what was going on, but whenever the crowd would cheer she would clap. She loved clapping to the school fight song!
But most of all she LOVED COSMO!!! Whenever she was getting a little fussy, we would ask, "Where's Cosmo?" And she would look all over until she found him, then she would laugh! The second half was a little more challenging than the first, but overall she did GREAT, and we would take her again.
I think that we have started her out great for becoming a lifelong BYU Cougar fan! It was great fun! R's Aunt Emma(who is one of the biggest BYU fan) would be VERY proud!

We Are Alive!

To all those who keep in touch by bogging, this is for you. We are alive and doing well. We have had a summer full of adventure here are few pictures.
This is our first adventure with the greatest investment....a hiking backpack!! We decided to try it out on our hike to Stewart Falls. It worked great, except we did learn a lesson, Binkys need to be attached!!! We lost 3 that hike!
This is me and Reagan at Battle Creek Falls. I love her hiking hat. It is so funny, but works great! This was a fun hike too! If you can't tell we tried to hike to tons of waterfalls this summer!
This Face Says It All!! I think it is funny! Again at Battle Creek Falls!
This was our hike down by St. George called Red Cliffs, and yes the water behind us really is that blackish green.....YUCK!!!
And this is our cute family at Donut Falls! Look Reagan is actually smiling! She is super cute, but does not like to smile for the camera. We went on this hike with our good friends Darwin and Kiara.
This was a fun hike, a lot shorter than we were expecting(not that its a bad thing), but it took us longer just to hike up along the waterfall, than to actually get there. Darwin is great at taking pictures, but because of this he stopped ever min. to take another pic. Check out their blog to see some great shots!
This is our beautiful Reagan at Provo's 4th of July parade. She is in her car that she got for her birthday. She LOVES this car, but this is to show that we did other things than hike during the summer :)
Now for a little more recent! This is us picking pumpkins at the pumkin patch, see Reagan NOT smiling!
Carving pumpkins. Reagan was helping gut the pumpkin, but DID NOT like the feel of it. So she wouldn't stick her hand back in. To get this shot I became a mean mom, and stuck her binky in the pumpkin, therefore she is actually reaching in for it!!! Hee Hee the things we can do for cute pictures!
And last but not least, our little devil! I love when you can still choose for them what they get to be for Halloween!
This is our costumes. As you can see, she must get the devil side of her from the McSweeney family, because I am all angel! I hope this updates you a little on our family. Know that really I am not that good at this, and most likely the next blogs will not be this long!

Kiara did it!

She finally talked me into it! She made me feel bad as a mother for having her post my child's growth, and I finally started a blog! Hooray! Leave me a comment so I know this is worth doing...I'd love to hear from you!
