Halloween Cruise

Last year we missed out on the McSweeney family Christmas Cruise down the Provo river. Jared's sisters Emma and Louisa had done the Halloween Cruise earlier and made everyone go on the Christmas cruise(Christmas of 2010). We were lucky when she brought over 3 tickets for us to try-out the Halloween cruise this year. We wanted to be on the first trip because we had little kids that we needed to get home to bed. I think it would have been a little cooler if it was dark, but such is life.

So this is us waiting. I laugh at P because his coat is to big for him so he literally ate it the whole time!

Getting ready to board the boat
 On the boat
Along the banks they had many jack-o-lanterns lit up.
P really enjoyed the Halloween lights strung up
You may ask "a cruise in a big boat on Provo river at this time of year". Let me explain because we were a little confused too. It was a really flat boat with no engine. How do you move then? The picture shows exactly that. Our "pirate" pulled us along these ropes. It was slow moving, but we got around.
Our favorite lights, candy corn!
Blurry, but you get the idea. She how it would bet better if it was dark!
The kids checking out another pirate that joined our boat for a bit of the ride.
 Getting candy from the pirate
Some of the pumpkins were fake that wouldn't wilt, while most of them were real
 P liked the water
My cute kids checking out the lights

Jared's thought of the cruise was: L-A-M-E
It was definitely aimed for kids, and the kids really enjoyed it.
So if you plan on going, remember coats, and remember its for kids.
Thanks Emma for the tickets!

A "Must Do" in the fall

Another favorite part of fall is visiting a pumpkin patch. My dad, the kids and I  went down to the "Red Barn" down in Santaquin by Grandma Diane's house. They have a the best fresh apples, apple juice, pumpkins and more pumpkins.  Inside they had these HUGE real pumpkins. The kids loved them.

My boy is getting so big!
She would have climbed up onto it if we would have let her
Then we loaded onto a wagon for a ride to the pumpkin patch.
 She was so excited
Pointing out the different fruit on the trees to Bob along the way.
Poor Jared had to work, so this is as good as it gets
Bob is such a sport. He is actually holding P up! :)
 R the ghost!
On the search for the perfect pumpkin

The lighting needs to be fixed, but such a cute picture of the kiddies!
You wouldn't know from this picture, but the boy was overdue for a nap.

The "perfect pumpkin" comes in different shapes and sized. Yes, we brought this beauty home with us!

Back on the wagon, saying bye to the patch
We had so much fun. It was such a beautiful day to be out enjoying the weather! Thanks Bob!

FALL, what else is there?

I have to say that Fall is my all time FAVORITE season!  Its is sad to think that when this beautiful season is over that means SNOW, my LEAST FAVORITE!!!  None the less, I LOVE this season!!! I went for a drive up Payson Canyon to look at the beautiful colors with my parents. I wish I could have spent all day with no kids, and multiple memory cards taking pictures. It was AMAZING! I guess it isn't even at its peak yet..... YAY!!!! Here a few of the pictures I took.

Yes, I know my kids aren't in the best leaf attire (stripes, really?!), but this wasn't a planned photo shoot! :)

 They are stinkin' cute though!

Along the way we stopped at "The Grotto". My parents had never hiked it, and we couldn't resist with the beautiful fall weather!
 See, I did go! ;)
Love this shot of the boys

Love this shot of the girls!

Then we ended our drive at Payson Lakes. Again, I could have spent all day walking around the lakes. It was so peaceful, and beautiful!
I LOVE this shot of me and the kiddos!

My mom with my TOOTHY boy! Yes those are 2 pearly whites on the bottom. As of yesterday we are up to 3!  This stage of teething can't end any faster!

Fall is definitely on "My Favorites List". I am CERTAIN that there will be more posts to come of more fall pictures! Those of you in Utah, get out there and enjoy this amazing transformation that Heavenly Father has given us!
