We may not be going to the "Y", but Jared and I do love to go to their sporting events. Some friends of ours have basketball season tickets, and couldn't go. They called us and asked us if we wanted to go. Of course we said yes, but couldn't find a babysitter so we decided to try taking R to the game with us. We figured if worst comes to worst we could always leave before the game was over since they were free tickets! So we are starting R off young at becoming a BYU fan.
Who would have thought that a one year old would like to sit and watch the game. She did VERY well. The opening where the lights were off and they were using loud music and spotlights to introduce the Cougars kind of scared her, but it didn't last too long so she was fine.
She didn't understand exactly what was going on, but whenever the crowd would cheer she would clap. She loved clapping to the school fight song!
But most of all she LOVED COSMO!!! Whenever she was getting a little fussy, we would ask, "Where's Cosmo?" And she would look all over until she found him, then she would laugh! The second half was a little more challenging than the first, but overall she did GREAT, and we would take her again.
I think that we have started her out great for becoming a lifelong BYU Cougar fan! It was great fun! R's Aunt Emma(who is one of the biggest BYU fan) would be VERY proud!

I love that you two are starting her out doing things you love at such an early age! She is really really cute!
She has grown up so much since this past summer! I'm glad you had fun at the game.
I'm glad she did well. You could always leave her with us, ya know :) It will be easier when we live closer...YAY for Springville!!
