This year we missed out on city soccer. I am actually pretty bitter about the whole thing, but I'm not going into that because it freed up our fall schedule. I was able to sign R up for city gymnastics. It was only a 6 week class that met once a week. It was perfect for my little athlete.
These pictures are from random practices.
Bars, was her first favorite.
R was in the youngest group, and had some wild girls with her, but she was SO good about paying attention and waiting her turn!
Then she loved balance beam.
Vault.
She didn't loved it, but didn't hate it!

Her backbend improved the most.
She got so much stronger in such a short amount of time.
I was actually REALLY impressed with R the last day. It looks like the teacher is holding her, but she isn't. R walked her hands down the wall into a backbend, then walked them back up.
Handstands also improved.
The last day they had the 5, 6, and 7 year olds
have a handstand contest, and R won!

Her cartwheel still isn't perfect. She needs to keep her legs straighter. The main teacher spoke to me and said R catches on REALLY fast, and is strong. She thought she would make a great gymnast. This was a great way to see if R likes gymnastics without signing her up for a full-on gymnastics group! We will see if it sticks!
