Christmas 2014

 -CHRISTMAS EVE-

Jared has started his new job with Skywest. We thought that he wouldn't be around for the holidays because of seniority, but we were lucky enough to have him home. So Christmas Eve we loaded the kids in the car and headed to Spanish Fork's Festival of Lights. 

I don't know if the kids love it so much because of all the lights, or because we let them sit up front. For those who think we are terrible parents, we aren't! You follow a line of cars through a park going 5 mph, tops!!!

 When we got home, R kept asking when we were going to do the Nativity. Missy's family were with Dan's family so we weren't planning on doing it. After much persuasion we quickly pulled something together. With a lot more adult participation than in the past! The kids loved it so it was ok. And yes, Jared is wearing a Peter Pan hat just for added effect! :)

After the nativity, we had hot chocolate and cookies.  Later, Missy's family arrived to open up their Christmas Eve presents from Grandma and Bob.

 Then our little family headed downstairs for our Christmas Eve traditions.

 -CHRISTMAS DAY-

The kids didn't wake up exceptionally early, but were excited non-the-less!

R is obsessed with horses right now. So she asked for a real horse. So when she opened this she also said "I bet because we don't have any place for a real horse, he had to bring me an American Girl Doll Horse instead!"

 R is VERY creative and made Jared this little pilot. This picture doesn't do it justice. 

It was VERY cute, and creative!

 Jared surprised me with a big present.

 A tv for our bedroom. He is going to be gone a lot with his new job, so he thought I would enjoy having a tv to keep me company at night! I am one LUCKY lady!

 Then the rest of the family (minus Mike and Kylie), came for presents.

 Again, a VERY happy girl with a Ginormous stuffed horse!

 Then we headed to Grandma Diane's for presents and dinner with the family. 

We all came away with too much stuff. We definitely felt loved!

We were all given so much this year. What a great way to end the year! We LOVE Christmas, and not only for the presents, but for the time we get to spend with family. And most importantly it gives us a chance to stop and remember Christ's birth!
