Jared's Idea of Fun

Jared has been working on getting his flight instructor's rating. One part of getting this certification is "spin training". Spin training is to help you learn how to get your plane out of spin that a student may put you in. In order to pass this off, you have to go to a person with an airplane that is spin rated. So the whole fam went up to Heber Airport to watch Jared do this CRAZY thing. Not only is this a crazy thing to "practice", but Jared got to do it in an open cockpit!

Jared had to do about an hour of ground school before taking off, so me and the kids went to the local park. Jared's dad was there, and took these pictures of him taking off.

I was able to see a few of the spins, and it was crazy watching if from the ground. I didn't get any pictures because they were too far away!

Jared said that was one of the coolest things. He said it beats any roller coaster ride!!! This video isn't of Jared, but is what it was like for him. But remember this video is from a closed cockpit, imagine doing this same thing in an open cockpit! C ---R---A---Z---Y!!!!!!
