R's Day of Fun

2 weeks ago I was stuck at work all day. I felt really bad for R, because it was beautiful outside and we were stuck inside. She couldn't even play with friends. So come Friday, I told her that tomorrow would be all about her. She could pick everything that we did. She started calling it "R's Day of Fun".  So this is how it went.

1. Go To The Movies
I didn't get any pictures of this, but R and I went to the (cheap) movie theater and saw Alvin and the Chipmunks-Chipwrecked. It was actually really nice, because we had the whole theater to ourselves. R thought she was VERY special!

2. Go Hiking
She is a child after my own heart. I was SOOOOOOOOO happy that this was on her list of things to do. The weather was AMAZING! We ended up hiking Battle Creek Falls. Its an easy hike for kids with a double waterfall at the end.

You hike alongside the river all the way up.
My baby girl is such a good hiker!
We invited the Pratts to join us, after all, the trail head is less than a mile away from their house! :)
Baby Lila enjoyed the hike too. The baby carrier was a great help!
Throwing rocks into the river. R loves helping her brother.
But P thinks he is pretty independent
 Our cute family
On the trail heading back down, with the valley in the background
R thinks that P needs a hiking stick-which is funny since he just rides. But the kid doesn't let go of them

3. Lunch
The Pratts joined us to eat at Sonic.
Me and the special little lady
 My cute little boy

4. Visit a Temple
This wasn't on her initial list, but we are starting a "temple book" of each kid in front of temples. We had never taken them to Mt. Timp Temple,  and it was really close so we added it in! R was alright with this.

For those who aren't around my kids a lot, P is a NAUGHTY baby! Hence the picture of him running away!
R is such a good girl, especially compared to her little brother!!!
Finally got him to sit for seriously 2 sec.
Notice the naughty baby running away while R takes our picture!
Trying to escape through the fence
 "Hiding" behind trees
The flowers at the temple were BEAUTIFUL!!!

5. Go To A Park
Pleasant Grove has a GREAT wood park. So we decided to stop at that one to check this off "the list"
There are many tunnels and paths for kids to follow. We lost R for the first 15 minutes we were there. She was in HEAVEN!!!
 Hiding in a beehive
Jared was a little too big!
 Slides makes for happy children
 See what I mean!

All in all the day was fun. Both kids passed out on the way home. WAY to much fun in one day. The only thing we didn't cross off was swimming. We did have it planned, but it just didn't work out! Soon we will be able to play in the pools outside!!

Sure, make me feel guilty about the swimming. We'll have to make up for it in St. George ;)
