I have been wanting to take my kids to Discovery Gateway Children's Museum for a long time. We just up and went one day! The kids LOVED it!
This was R's favorite part of the museum. It was a little house scaled down to her size. P actually thought it was pretty cool too! She would have been happy to stay in here the whole time!
R thought this was so funny. It was a mouse house in the house. You could push the little button and a light would come on and the mouse hole had little furniture and things like us!
Then we ventured over to the water.
P like the driving the car (that doesn't actually move)
Then we headed over to the grocery store.
R did very well at scanning all the items!
A little rock climbing!
Then headed to the news.
Taking her turn as the weather lady,
cameraman,
and news ancor
P didn't undertand, but wanted to do what his sister was doing!
P liked the hands on things
Then we found this area with very large foam"tinker toys". P only cared about the wheel barrel
We invited R's cousins Mia and Hallie VERY last minute. So they joined us at the end. While waiting for them R and Jared worked on their hoola hooping skills.
R actually suprised me!
Then Mia and Hallie made it, and the 3 girls build this "submarine"
They were VERY proud!
This part was by far where P could have spent all day. It was a "beehive". They had the ball pit balls everywhere.
There were all sorts of slides and chutes for the balls to go down. P LOVED it!
watching the ball slide down. Nice photo bomb little girl!
We were there into P's nap, but we needed to grab lunch. So we went to the drive-thru of McDonalds. Poor kid couldn't even stay awake to eat all his food. Check out the chicken nugget in his hand!
It was a fun place for my kids.
My only complaints were there were SOOOOOO many kids. It was hard for my kids to enjoy some of the areas because they aren't aggresive and other kids would take over what they were playing with. Other complaint was that parents had to pay full price to sit and watch their kids play. So with 2 kids plus the 2 adults, it made it pretty expensive. I would go more often if wouldn't cost an arm and a leg!
