We usually don't celebrate birthdays that are an odd number with friends, but because we are most likely moving very soon I wanted R to have a chance to celebrate with her friends(some from school).
She decided she wanted an animal themed birthday party. All I can say is that it turned out MUCH better than I had planned. As far as the cake it was going to be pretty simple until my very talented friend helped me by making a skunk and a fox out of fondant. They made the cake extremely cute!
Then I got donut holes and dipped half of it into chocolate frosting and R dipped them into chocolate sprinkles. Then with gel frosting R made the eyes and noses to make the hedgehogs! I think they turned out pretty cute!
We also got a lot of different beanie baby
animals for R's guests as a thank you!
Once everyone arrived we started off the party with an obstacle course, which was fun! Each obstacle had something to do with an animal. Fox Hole(tunnel to crawl through), Lilly Pad Jump, Tree Top Walk(balance beam), Rabbit Run(jumping over pool noodles on chairs), then this was Kangaroo Kick!
Then we played pass the parcel.
Each guest ended up with a prize!
Then the ultimate highlight of the birthday party.
The ANIMALS!!!!
R was able to pick 4 animals that she wanted to come to her party.
First was a skunk.
It was pretty cool seeing this animal so close up,
and not worrying about being sprayed!
and not worrying about being sprayed!
Each kid was able to pet all the animals!
Next the Red Fox
Then the Ring Tailed Cacomistle
His name was Bob, and we call my dad Bob.
So this picture was a must!
Last but not least the hedgehog!
All the kids were able to hold him!
Then we opened presents!
All the guests:
left to right(back row):Trizidee, Kayla, Damion
(middle row): Lexi(from school), Raini, Juliet, R, Sophie, Marissa(from school), Sydney, P
(front row) Rori, and Savy!
Blowing out the candles!
Giving her "adopt a pets" out to her friends.
They LOVED them!
She picked the inside of the cake. Turned out pretty cool!
We take a picture every year with this sign!
Then we ate at Brick Oven for her birthday!
It really was an awesome birthday. While getting ready my dad asked R "this is going to be the best birthday ever, huh?" and she said "nope, because my dad won't be here!" Jared was away with work for her birthday. She opened her present while face timing with Jared. What a sweet heart!
Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
