Australia Post 3

While we were out and about we had to stop at the huge Ugg boots for a photo op!

We all LOVE these flowers, and love how they are everywhere in Australia!
We were able to celebrate Jared's birthday in Australia.
Luckily his Aunt Rachel loves him enough to make a birthday cake for him!
It was delicious!
The next day we started the day at an airport that Paul had done some work for school at. Jared was going to get a ride in an old plane, but it ended up not working out!

We then drove down to Nelson's bay for a dolphin watching cruise!
They say there is a 95% chance of spotting dolphins!
We were all really excited!
We found a spot in the front of the boat

We were the unlucky 5% who didn't see any dolphins.
But they did have this really cool net that they dropped
into the water after dropping anchor.
The waves would toss you around a bit, but the kids had fun!

After we got back to shore, we stopped at a beach just to play a little more before we headed home!

The kids loved ganging up together and splashing Grandpa!
Q and I stayed dried on the beach.
This is also a super cute picture of my baby!

Nelson's Bay was a beautiful place to explore.

The next day we headed into Newcastle to Fort Scratchley. I
t was an old fort, but now is a museum.
It is perched on a high point right along the ocean!

 My cutie pie!
The tour was pretty cool, but long.
Luckily for me this little man needed to use the toilet,
so the kids and I left early and let Jared and Paul enjoy the rest of the tour!
This is looking down from Fort Scratcley onto Nobbys Beach.

On June 10 2007 a large cargo ship containing 700 tons of petrol
and oil was forced onto the beach during a huge storm!

That is Fort Scratchley above the boat!

It had been a few days full of adventure and we tuckered Grandpa Paul out.
Little did he know that was an invitation for my kids to climb on him!
After Fort Scratchley we went with Jared's other Aunt Andrena and her family to a cool tide pool for the kids! I am retarded and didn't get any pictures with them!

Q loved splashing in the water!
It was a beautiful place to end the day!

We ate dinner with Aunty Rachel every night.
On the last night we were up Newcastle way 2 of Jared's cousins stopped by!
Bonnie and Rhiannon, and Bonnie's girls.

It was fun meeting some more of Jared's cousins.
I had met Rhiannon when were first married,
but Jared hadn't seen Bonnie since he first moved to America!
