We started our Aussie Adventure with a 13 hour layover in LAX. Anyone who has travelled through LAX knows that LAX isn't the most kid friendly place. We thought we could wait it out. After two hours and already getting complaints from the kids we decided to bite the bullet and go to a hotel that rents rooms with a day rate for people like us! It ended up being the best decision for us!
The hotel had a pool which P couldn't wait to change and wanted to jump right in!
First thing we did was change and hit the pool!
Then we headed back to the room where the kids played on the electronics, hide and seek,
and we all squished on the bed and watched some TV.
We went on walks, and just relaxed!
It was so nice to have that break before loading onto the plane for a VERY long flight!
The kids did pretty well. Q had a bassinet to sleep in on the flight, and she slept for over 4 hours straight in it! It was handy to have the extra leg room for my kids to walk around!
We finally made it to SYDNEY!!!!!
We got our rental car and headed off to Uncle Jim's house!
It was a Holden Commodore Wagon.
We loved this car! It fit all our crap perfectly!
We decided to head into town with Uncle Jim and go over to Manly.

After a lunch of meat pies,
we made it to Manly Beach!
It was a beautiful day for the beach!

After swimming we enjoyed one of Jared's must have food items (after a meat pie), a Copenhagen brand passion fruit ice cream!
Quinn was a huge fan, and didn't want to share!
After we made it back to Uncle Jim's we got back into the car and headed to Grandpa Paul's house!
