Tuesday was a LONG day for the girls.
They had to arrive at the festival site at 7am to be on the news.
Each group had a different time to be showcased on Fox 13 news.
My friend who was there took this picture.
Then the girls had rehearsal all day until the performance that night.
Our girls weren't dancers, but singers.
They attend an art's school in Bulgaria.
They came and sang traditional songs which were really cool!
Wednesday we had free time. Jared had been talking to them from day one about Cabbalas. He didn't describe it very well. He explained that there are dead animals all over. The girls had NO desire to go. I tried to explain that it really wasn't that bad. They were still a little hesitant going, but gave it a go.
They ended up LOVING it!
They took so many pictures.
After that we went to the outlets for Alice.
They LOVED the Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
We then headed to Salem Pond for a picnic
with the Bulgarian, French, and Korean groups and their host families.
After the picnic we taught the girls Tim Tam Slams.
They had S'mores in Idaho so we had to teach them something new!
This is the girls in the opening number
My kids love the Folkfest!
The dancers from Bulgaria
On Monday night the Folkfest usually has a street dance where the groups teach the public some simple dance moves. Because of the holiday they didn't have a street dance and instead had a few after parties where the dances were taught!
My kids love them!
They also played normal music and
Anna was so good to dance with them!
We love going to the Folkfest each night!
Especially when they have an after party!
