London Day 3

This was our last day to see things in London with our flight leaving that evening.

We decided to use the 2nd day of our hop on hop off bus and make our way as close as we could to Kensington Palace. We made our way to the closest bus stop and had to wait for awhile for the 1st bus of the morning to make it to us. Right behind us was a HUGE building so with time to spare we went to investigate.

Comes to find out it is St. Pancras train station. 

This is actually the train station that you use to ride through the Channel Tunnel that connects the United Kingdom to France and Belgium.

We went inside and found this HUGE statue!

It is about 30 feet tall!

Waiting for the bus again, we had to get a picture of Reagan with an English taxi.

She LOVED them!

 Then we rode the bus as close as we could to Kensington Palace(which isn't very close). We walked through Hyde Park, which somewhere along the way turned into the Kensington Gardens(who knew)

We decided that when we come back we will rent bikes and bike around this beautiful place.

We wish that we had more time, it was huge!!!!

 We also learned Prince William and Kate live here, but not in this part of the palace. 

This part is open to the public for paid tours, but they live on the part that you can't see because of the walls and security. Even on the front fence is material across it so that you can't see in very easily.

 Then we jumped back on the bus and drove as close as we could to Paddington train station. We all LOVED this road. These are so picturesque! 

 We made it back to the airport to find out that we all were sitting 1st class again on the way back!

We got SO lucky this trip!!!

It was a super spur of the moment and quick trip, but TOTALLY worth it! We can't wait to go back with the other kids now that we know the layout of the city a little better! Speaking of, Reagan was taking every advantage of being the only kid on this trip. She LOVED it! I think its good for them to feel special like that every once in awhile!
